How often do you give a PIREP? What information do you find particularly useful? Aviation Podcast #88, any thoughts?

ice (especially negative ice) PIREPs are really useful, as well as tops reports. for IFR flying of course. there are those days where theres a decent inversion but you arent quite sure if it goes high enough etc. comes in quite handy.

I try and make one on every flight, as I know I wish there were more when I'm getting the briefing. When there are forecasts of turbulence, high winds, that sort of negative outlook, I enjoy filing a PIREP so that others will get accurate info and maybe fly too.
