Alrighty, I know a few of you are out there. I am still sitting in Osh Kosh today, and completely overwhelmed with the sights around me. Warbirds further than the eye can see, vintage to sport aircraft. Ultralights and parachutes from the sky.
Anyone else out there, what were your highlights?

Great to see you again Anais, and hanging out with Jason and the crew. Good times!

Highlights for me: the Gen. Yeager talk on Thursday, insightful, direct, and totally off-the-cuff funny (probably without meaning to be!) What an awesome individual. Another big deal for me was attending many of the builders workshops, learning construction techniques from the best. I got to drive my first rivets on Tuesday, way cool! The talks were great. Seeing all of those completed homebuilt planes, in all their various shapes and configurations - truly inspiring. I know I can do this.

The lowlight for me was the airshow on Friday. Terrible to witness the P51 crash. It doesn't for a moment make me want to stop flying - on the contrary - I'm quite certain that the pilot of "Precious Metal" would be very sad if folks were discouraged from flying due to the accident. He went out with his boots on - doing something he loved. Amen to that, and I'm sure he's doing great, and in formation flight with the angels above. :)

There is just so much to Oshkosh. Words fail to capture its depth and breadth. Airventure showcases all facets of aviation - there is no other gathering that comes close. It is truly amazing and must be experienced! (In that respect, much like a Grateful Dead concert, but I digress.)

*sigh* :|

I hope to one day get out there. Sun 'n Fun too at some point. I took me a Part 135 Scheduled job and it's been eating up my time.

Good to be back.

Still Hungry...
