Hey everyone,

Just thought I would make a thread about some of the sites I use everyday that might be of interest to others:

For finding your next flying job:

http://www.climbto350.com - In my opinion, this is the number one site for finding a flying job. It requires a paid membership, but it updates to-the-minute and there's usually about 40-60 new jobs posted per day. Even with a great job now, I still check in on it regularly to keep my finger on the pulse of what's going on with hiring minimums and pay cycles.

http://www.findapilot.com - this is another one I like, and it's free. Pretty good selection of jobs here. I once found and secured a job as a fishspotter through this site. Theres a cool job on there now that I saw there the same time last year flying a Helio Courier STOL camera plane for the NFL.

A "One-Stop" for your questions about who's hiring and what are the minimums:

http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com - Killer up-to-the-minute site that lists ALL of the regional, major, legacy and fractional carriers, their pay scales and the hiring mins. Also a very thorough user forum like this one.

For filing IFR without talking to an FSS:

http://www.duat.com - The only way to love this site is to go use it. Click on "Interactive Overlays" and make sure you're sitting down. I can file 10 IFR flight plans and print off a standard weather briefing less than 15 seconds with this site.

One-stop weather needs:

http://www.adds.aviationweather.gov - but everyone knows that one already anyways.

I'm definitely interested in any sites you guys recommend and use.

http://maps.avnwx.com - A great weather site with nexrad overlays on google maps, "mouse-over" airmets, sigmets, metars, tafs, winds aloft forecasts, tfr's, and pireps. My personal favorite aviation weather site.

http://www.mymetar.com - Another nice weather website that allows you to specify groups of airports and will display their current metars on your personalized home page. They also offer RSS feeds for the ATT/Yahoo! homepage and others, desktop widgets for Macs and for the Yahoo! Widget Engine, and a new application called ForeFlight which is designed specifically for the iPhone.

http://www.aviationlogs.com - A useful online logbook. They also provided data entry services (for a nominal fee) if you send in either scanned images of or your actual logbook. Keeps totals of each column for overall, last 30, last 60, last 90, and last 365 days. Also allows you to export in Excel so you can sort and chart whatever you want. Lastly, they have a function where you can opt in to making your logbook public, in case you wanted to show others where you've been flying.

Oh that reminds me! I use an web-based online logbook that's completely and totally free and offers a lot of really great features like generating an 8710 (the form you give the examiner declaring your hours for checkride eligibility) as well as generating reports based on month, year, aircraft type, N-number, etc.
It also allows you to create custom columns which really nifty for logging say...glass-cockpit time or whatever.
