Wondering how long after your checkride it takes to get your permanent cert??? How long did it take to get yours?

It seems to be about 2 months. I passed my Commercial Nov 4 and they are now processing certificates issued Oct 10.

Go here to see what date they are up to.

Thanks for the reply. I was beginning to think no one posted on this forum any more. And thanks for the FAA link. I had been to those pages but never noticed the statement at the top regarding what date set they were working on. Way cool. Mike

Hi Mike,

I've had several different experiences with my own and my students. If you look on the back of your certificate, it will give you an expiration period that is 120 days. Most importantly, know that if you don't receive your permanent by then, absolutely track it down. Once that date is up, the temporary is no longer valid and that means you can't fly :(

Congratulations on your license!

Most DPE's say to contact them in 90 days if you don't have it to give them time to track it down or whatever else they can do.

Just got my permanent cert yesterday, it took just shy of 12 weeks from my checkride date.
