ive visited with a lot of DEs before and they all hate pink slipping guys in cases like this. The DE knows you know the stuff but a simple mistake gets you flustered and it snowballs from there.

No worries though. you will be fine.

what aircraft are you transitioning to/from? My first student trained about 37 hrs worth in a cherokee 180 Archer, then it got dinged up and we had to switch to a warrior. Did it in the 3 hours and he took the checkride satisfactorily in that. not a lot of difference there though, except for power.

Will,

How are you doing? Studying lots? I think you are going to do great this time. Like Tony said, examiners do not like to fail anyone, they just want to see good pilots. Now you know what to expect and you can just go in and show him what you know.
As far as the transition, think of it as a new plane that you can fly. Don't be in a rush to get to the test. Go when you feel really comfortable, think of the extra time as training that you would have done regardless if you were a Private Pilot or not.

Keep us posted, and if you have any last minute questions :D
