Jason, one thing I wanted to suggest to you for some time is the following:

I would love to see on your OTL-paysite an extended video (download or DVD) with lots of filmed coverage from you simply flying your DA 40 and applying the principles you teach us. Maybe some interactive/animated stuff to support, but really not so much an instructional piece. More something I could watch when I am through with watching all the podcast pieces, the aviation video tips ... and still cannot let go of watching your stuff.

I guess you must have tons of air coverage from your past productions that could be used for this.

In a nutshell, I would just enjoy watching you fly around California, visit great airports and point out some remarkable things about you flying for something like 30 to 60 minutes.

What do you think?

Harro,

It's a great idea. We hope to do more of that through the coming year but decided to put more resources on the TFP video tips for the time being. Mostly because we can produce them regularly, and that is important right now.

I love the suggestion! Thanks ... and keep them coming if you have more ... it's helpful to hear what you'd like to see.

jason

Ditto Harro's comment. I've learned so much for my instrument training through being a safety pilot for pilots who need to do approaches to maintain their currency. E.g., I had a very hard time with entries to holds until I flew with someone who did a few. Just sitting and watching (while also watching for traffic) made it much easier to absorb it in a way that made sense. Seeing someone on video just doing the stuff I'm trying to learn could serve the same function.

I don't want you guys to think that I've written this off. It's a great idea and it's got me thinking
