First off I want to say thanks again to Jason for all the work he put into getting me trained for the Commercial check ride.

I passed last Wed just in time to enjoy 3 days at AOPA Expo and a very busy weekend, this is about the first time I have had much time to get on the computer.

So how hard is the CFI to get? I know your younger and it's easier to remember a gazillion facts, but what else? Do you have to reinvent the way it's taught and show the examiner? Do you have to have every lesson plan hand developed and laid out?

I haven't started any kind of training yet, just wondering what I'm in for.

no reinventing the wheel is required. work out lesson plans for most of the flight and ground subjects, a lot of ground school. i spent a couple months but only about 5 hrs of flying to get it done. i also did my commercial from the right seat which helped on the flying time i think.
