Not too long ago I was at a FAA Safety Seminar. As a sidelight, one of the presenters showed how to properly fold (re-fold) a chart for use in the cockpit. His method allowed for just a couple of moves to allow to follow a course across the map (even to the backside) and not unfold the entire sectional in a mess.
I didn't get the whole method and thought I would search it out on the net to find the method, but without success. I did find one from Australia, but it doesn't seem quite right. Mr. Fred Gibbs says that he learned it from an old chart maker. I would love to find the directions or maybe see a video podcast of how to do this. Short of that I am going to have to go see him and shoot photos of each step.
Does anyone know the method and have the directions?
