I just wanted to wish a big congratulations to one of the world's newest PIC's - TFP forum's own marriners! Rick called me on Saturday afternoon to let me know that he now has 0.5 hours in the PIC column and was missing a shirttail after completing his first solo flight!

I'll let him fill in the details, but suffice it to say that it was a perfect flying day with light winds right down the runway and nary a cloud in the sky.
