I am now focusing on getting my commercial license but am unclear as to do it 141 or 61. My instrument and PPL were 141. Currently have about 115 hours.
By my math I figure I could save around 3K by doing it 141 but will come out about 30hrs shorter than doing it part 61. By doing it 61 ( or what I like to call just going out and going flying ) it seems like it could be more fun ie just renting a plane and going somewhere for instance 3hrs away and back... definitely not going to get that in the King schools syllabus. The positive I could say to doing 141 is that your then closer to getting your CFI and can make up the time CFI'ing easily with the money saved spent on my multi or something like that.
INSIGHT please from the community. Cheers all happy flying.
