Hello Aviators !

Just would like to know your experience on this : a student lost control after a landing on a solo flight.
Nothing bad, just went out of the runway, got a taste of the grass..

The thing is she kind of lost some confidence, both in the airplane and herself. ("this is not for me, I 'l never make it, etc...")

I'm sure this happens to you several times, please share your experience !

Happened to me right after I started soloing and the worst part about it was that I didn't know why. Right after touchdown it felt as if the plane was being lifted up and pushed off to the side... I never hit grass but it certainly wasn't pretty.

Cause:

I figured out later that I must have just released the rudder on touchdown. Seems to be a common mistake if you look it up for beginners

Further if you need to know that everyone has bad landings watch these monkeys :)

its tough but reminder her that everyone has problems in training, and she will be fine otherwise you would have not let her solo. get her back in the air.. IMHO
