Paul Hamilton mentions that you can "use a light sport aircraft for instrument flying if it is "so equipped"". Under what circumstances is an LSA considered usable for IFR flying?

My understanding is this... the pilot must be instrument rated (obviously), the aircraft AND engine manufacturer must specifically allow or approve IFR flight in the aircraft, and it must meet the IFR equipment requirements in FAR 91.205.
